Truth be told, it comes down to price and time.  There have been companies here that have offered Personal Shopping trips to the above destinations and they cost between $5,000 to $6,000 SGD per trip before ever opening your purse to buy a bottle of water, having something to eat or purchasing a single item.  We want to keep this trip reasonably priced so that you can enjoy the benefits of Personal Shopping while at the same time having fun with other like minded ladies and focusing on what you need to get.

What is it that you are looking for?  If you are searching for top end fashions in Chanel or Versace, this is not what this trip is about.  We have sourced shops and outlet chains that carry clothing at reasonable prices that are fabric appropriate for this climate with enough selection to get everything you need from your casual staples, lingerie, swimsuits, tops, blouses, skirts, shorts, trousers, jeans, ¾ pants, suits, little black dresses, ball gowns, club wear, shoes, bags and fashion accessories.

Here are some of the benefits of going to a smaller centre:

• Darwin was chosen because it is the closest Western destination to Singapore which has the most reasonable prices
• The climate is the same as Singapore with 80% of the natural fabrics on the market being are appropriate for here
• The same chain shops/outlets that are found in Sydney are in Darwin but cost up to 60% of the price as the rents are lesser in a smaller centre
• All range of sizes are available – Size 6 to 30
• Shoes in large sizes
• There is a Target (similar to Walmart) to pick up essentials you need at a fraction of the price
• Although many of the brands are Australian, they are comparable to brands in the US and UK
• Access to a discount pharmacy
• Access to a Woolworths and Coles to stock up on cheese and other edible goodies you can’t find here
• We are staying in a 4.5 star hotel which would cost more in a larger centre but has the same level of customer service and central location

Our promise to you is that this trip has been scouted, sourced and tried personally.  We would not be promoting a trip such as this to a location that we do not believe that you could find everything you need at a fraction of the price and selection here if it were not possible.  Please see below for our upcoming trip dates.

CASURINA SQUARE

You can easily spend 2 full days shopping this mall.  There is a great selection and it has a lot of great Australian chain stores.  Most shops carry up to size 20 and some carry only between sizes 14 to 30.  The selection and fabrics are all fantastic and the best thing is the sales are on when we are planning to go.  Jean shops, Just Jeans and Jeans West carry all sizes and different colours and styles below $99.  To view the shop directory at Casuarina Square, please look here.

Designer style clothing at unpretentious prices.  Fantastic range of sundresses, tops, trousers and party dresses at exceptional prices.  Fantastic selection!

HOT SWIMWEAR & FASHIONS

This shop is to die for!  The whole shop is wall to wall swimsuits from sizes 6 to 30 that will cost you between $80 - $200 for separates, I pieces, 2 pieces and Tankini styles.  They carry up to E cup, maternity and mastectomy suits that are chlorine resistant.  There is also a large selection of cotton sundresses, Capri pants and shorts at reasonable prices that are perfect for going out or lazing by the pool here.

TARGET

JetStar Asia is the only airline carrier that flies directly to Darwin from Singapore.  JetStar Asia offers redemption of Qantas Frequent Flyer Points and has various pricing options for ticketing.  Prices are between $200 to $550 SGD return including taxes.  Here are your options to choose from:

1. Going to Darwin you can choose Jet Saver Light at a major discount as it allows only carry on luggage.  You can take a folding bag with you and fill it up while you are there and fly return on Jet Saver which allows you 20 kg of check in luggage and a carry on bag.

1. It is peak season and the cost of the trip will greatly increase due to the price of the hotel and charter coach transfers

2. It is Winter in Australia and there will be an increase in synthetic fabrics and warmer wear available in the shops which will limit our selection of summer items and fabrics appropriate for Singapore
